Let's Talk about Place Value

Plug in numbers inside a chart like the one below. I placed these numbers so  my third grader could understand for his level: 2,351, 24, 560, and 1,000. A first grader can plug a number with one digit (like  number 4) or plug a number with 2 digits (like number 24). A second grader can plug three digit numbers.

Here is something fun my daughter worked while learning about large numbers. Its a pyramid of large numbers. The right side has the correct representation of the numbers. The left side is just a reflection.
